Training times
Training times are seasonal. . We have a private Facebook group and training App for members only, which is regularly updated with training times, as well as paddling tips and useful information.. Alternatively, you can contact the club for more information. Our current training times are:
Training times are on the water, please be on the beach 15 minutes early to get the canoes and equipment ready! Racing season Racing season starts from February until November. Training is usually more intense and frequent during this period, and all club paddlers are invited to compete, regardless of their experience. Club coaches typically offer several OC6 training sessions per week, as well as OC1 and OC2 sessions. Off season The 'off' season is from November to January. Training is less intense and the focus is more social and relax. Borrowing club equipment Please arrange with your coach if you would like to borrow club gear such as crafts, PFDs, paddles, and/or lamps (required if paddling before sunrise or if your paddling session is likely to finish when dark). Weather Please ensure you check weather conditions before each session. Also follow the advice of the Surf Life Savers located at our site. |
